Seattle, WA | Start Date: ASAP

We're looking for a Quantitative Developer to join our systematic trading team in Seattle. This is a hands-on role working directly with portfolio managers and quantitative researchers to build the infrastructure that drives our global futures and equities strategies.

As part of a small, collaborative team at a leading hedge fund, you'll have the opportunity to work on challenging technical problems while seeing the direct impact of your work on trading performance. The role requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working at the intersection of technology and finance.

The Role

Working closely with our Senior Portfolio Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining the systems that support our systematic trading operations. This includes building robust data pipelines, implementing computational frameworks, and ensuring our production systems operate reliably during market hours.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing data engineering and prediction tools for systematic equities trading
  • Building and maintaining data pipelines that process large datasets from multiple sources
  • Implementing systems for large-scale computation and real-time processing
  • Monitoring live trading systems and responding to operational issues
  • Collaborating with researchers on infrastructure requirements for new strategies

Technical Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, or related field
  • Strong programming skills in Python and React/TypeScript
  • Experience with Next.js and Node.js runtime environments
  • Solid Linux development background
  • 3+ years of professional experience in computational or development roles
  • Experience with data visualization components (Ag-Grid or Apache ECharts preferred)

What Would Make You Stand Out

  • Previous experience working on trading systems, particularly intraday or high-frequency environments
  • Knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques
  • Background at technology companies or financial institutions
  • Experience working with financial market data
  • Familiarity with modern development practices and performance optimization

About the Team

You'll be joining a tight-knit team that values technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving. We work in a transparent environment where you'll have visibility into the entire investment process and direct input on technical decisions. The role offers significant learning opportunities and the chance to work on problems that directly impact our trading performance.

This position offers competitive compensation reflecting the value of the role, along with the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in one of the most demanding and rewarding areas of finance.
