Caspian One have been retained by a growing Live Sports organisation to find their new Director of Broadcast Technology.
The UK-based Director of Broadcast Technology will lead our customers global broadcast strategy and operations, driving the integration of advanced workflows, manage key suppliers, and ensure seamless delivery across live and digital platforms
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute broadcast tech strategy and operations, driving efficiencies without compromising on quality
- Align tech with editorial, content teams, global distribution and rights workflows
- Oversee MAM systems and content workflows
- Manage relationships with integral services and technology suppliers, as well as the relevant governing bodies
You’ll Bring:
- Proven leadership in live events or sports and media tech., demonstrating high EQ to galvanise, motivate and maintain the morale of engineering teams working through a packed season
- Ability to maintain calm, be adaptable, pivot fast, lead and be a force for positivity in high-pressure OB environments
- Gravitas and clarity to 3rd party partner relationships
- Experienced diplomacy to navigate political challenges communicating with varying different stakeholders
- Ambition and aspiration to continue innovating and growing the sport in line with that of the governing federation and your peers in the organisation
- Knowledge of broadcast technology and systems (HDSDI, IP workflows/2110, SRT/HLS, Cloud Platforms, ideally GCP)
- Nice to have experience with MAM and international rights mgmt.
- Strategic thinking, technical depth, and collaborative mindset.
