Job Description

A leading investment bank is expanding its FX Options technology team and is seeking an experienced Senior UI Developer to drive the build-out of complex, Real Time trading applications. This is a long-term contract opportunity with significant runway and the chance to work on genuinely business-critical Front Office systems.

Role Details

Position: Senior UI Developer (React/TypeScript)

Type: Contract

Rate: Above market rate - to be discussed on initial call
Duration: 6-month rolling (minimum 2 years of work already signed off)

Location: London (Hybrid)

Key Requirements

7+ years of Front End development experience

Deep expertise in React, Redux, RxJS, NPM/Yarn, Webpack, CSS, HTML

Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps ideal)

Proven ability to build complex, event-driven, Real Time SPAs

Strong understanding of software design principles and design patterns

Ability to optimise latency-sensitive UIs

FX Options or wider financial markets experience is essential

Excellent communication skills in English

Responsibilities

Deliver across the full SDLC, from requirements to post-release support

Own and contribute to technical design and architecture

Break down large initiatives and coordinate delivery across teams

Build new features within established coding patterns and frameworks

Mentor other developers and support the hiring process
