Job Description
Caspian One are seeking a skilled Devops Engineer to join a leading investment bank's flagship trading and risk management platform team based in Glasgow. You will be part of a small, dynamic DevOps team responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of a cutting-edge infrastructure that supports high-performance trading applications. This is a critical role where your contributions will directly impact the bank's key trading and risk systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless deployment and scaling of applications.
- Design and implement highly available and scalable cloud solutions using AWS services, including ECS, EKS, and Lambdas.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, testing, and deployment for a fast-paced development environment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot systems to ensure robust performance, security, and reliability.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong experience with AWS and related services (ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.).
- Expertise in Python Scripting for automation and infrastructure management.
- Solid understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices, including GitLab, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
- Experience managing and deploying applications in a microservices architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in financial services, particularly within trading platforms.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
- Exposure to configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.
