Overview

A well-established fintech organisation is seeking a Lead Frontend Developer to spearhead the development of a next-generation, low-latency trading platform. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building scalable, high-performance frontend applications for real-time financial trading.

You’ll be joining a high-performing team working on cutting-edge trading technology used by major financial institutions worldwide. The role offers the opportunity to shape the frontend architecture, mentor talented developers, and contribute to a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of frontend developers
  • Architect and implement React-based applications
  • Collaborate closely with backend engineers to optimise API integration
  • Conduct code reviews and uphold development best practices
  • Partner with product managers and stakeholders to refine UI/UX
  • Ensure low-latency performance and seamless backend integration
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and the technical roadmap

 

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience with modern React frameworks
  • Proven experience in leading or mentoring development teams
  • Experience with real-time financial trading systems
  • Familiarity with Google Protobufs and RESTful APIs
  • Preferred technologies (ranked by relevance): AG Grid, Redux, RxJS, Java, SQL
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
