Overview:

We’re looking for an experienced Market Data Business Analyst to act as the key liaison between market data vendors, quantitative teams, and trading desks. This is a unique role combining technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement, bridging the gap between data engineering and front-office needs.

Location:

London (Hybrid) - 2 days in-office per week. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for market data vendors and internal teams.
  • Partner with quants and traders to capture requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.
  • Drive onboarding and transformation of vendor datasets, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Use Python and SQL for data validation, wrangling, and analysis.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on market and reference data across asset classes.
  • Communicate insights effectively, “telling the story” behind the data to technical and non-technical audiences.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong background in sell-side banking, with experience working closely with quants and traders.
  • Expertise in market data or reference data, and familiarity with major vendors.
  • Hands-on technical skills: Python, SQL; AWS experience is a plus.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Data warehousing experience.
  • CFA or FRM certification.
  • Exposure to Agile delivery practices.

Solace Support Engineer - Contract B2B

Rate: Up to 1800/day PLN

The Opportunity

 

We're looking for a Solace Support Engineer to join a high-performing infrastructure and Middleware team, supporting a mission-critical messaging environment. You'll play a key role in onboarding applications to the Solace messaging platform, troubleshooting complex incidents, and driving platform improvements in a fast-paced banking environment.

 

 

What You'll Do

 

Provide specialist technical support for the Solace platform, ensuring stability, performance, and resilience.

Onboard new applications, guiding teams on Solace APIs and integration best practices.

Analyse capacity, performance, and latency metrics, recommending optimisations.

Manage incidents end-to-end - from diagnosis to resolution - escalating to the vendor where required.

Collaborate with engineers, architects, and business teams on platform evolution.

Implement and maintain monitoring, backup, and recovery processes.

Contribute to risk management, operational documentation, and disaster recovery readiness.

 

 

What You'll Bring

 

Essential:

Proven expertise with Solace Message Broker and Solace APIs.

Advanced Linux/Unix skills.

Solid experience in monitoring tools (eg, ITRS Geneos).

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

 

Desirable:

Financial services or high-volume transactional systems experience.

Understanding of networking concepts and firewalls.

Scripting skills (eg, Shell, Python).

Previous application support experience.
