Project Manager - Broadcast Facility Move
- Contract: Outside IR35
- Length: 12 months (possibility to extend)
- Location: London - 3 days per week on site on average (will vary at different stages of the project)
Project:
We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major broadcast services migration as part of a facility relocation in London. This is a hands-on coordination role (not engineering) overseeing the transition of live production, video connectivity, studio systems, and core broadcast infrastructure to the new location.
- Relocation of a London-based broadcast facility
- Includes move of broadcast systems, video routers, converters, vision mixers, headends, internet circuits, video/data circuits, connectivity and core broadcast infrastructure
- Coordination with broadcast engineering team, network team, and 3rd parties/systems integrators to ensure smooth delivery of the project
- Decommissioning of the old facility.
- Potential involvement in the office move alongside an external project management firm
Requirements:
- Proven, experienced Project Manager, working within core broadcast infrastructure builds or relocation
- Successfully delivered projects with budgets of at least $4m USD
- Experience with physical moves/transitions/builds of broadcast services
- Strong stakeholder management and experience in working closely with 3rd parties and systems integrators to deliver projects
- Experience in effectively working with multiple teams/divisions
- Desirable: experience managing budgets
- Desirable: Previous experience as a Broadcast Engineer
- Desirable: Knowledge of SMPTE 2110/ST2110
