Job Description

Are you passionate about automation, reliability and leveraging the latest technologies? Join a leading financial services firm, and their team of top-notch engineers dedicated to driving automation and leveraging cloud, containers and observability to enable reliability and performance.

You will collaborate with various central and application teams to understand requirements and consult on optimal technology solutions. You'll have the opportunity to research new technologies, conduct POCs and drive adoption of innovative platforms like Kubernetes, Kafka and Grafana.

As a middleware and infrastructure expert, you will design, build, integrate and automate core platforms and toolchains enabling the development teams to deliver rapidly. You will work on projects like:

  • Automating CI/CD pipelines with Kubernetes and Ansible
  • Building out cloud migration patterns, procedures and applications.
  • Creating reusable middleware integration modules.
  • Expanding monitoring and observability coverage.
  • Work closely with other teams in the firm , such as infrastructure, networking, security and database,
  • Provide support to the application operations team.

It is a fast pace environment and you will be expected to make an immediate impact with your technical knowledge and hands-on approach. You will own critical applications and toolchains, manage vendors, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute expertise during emergencies.

Required Skills:

  • Strong infrastructure knowledge in Linux/Unix, storage and networking
  • Experienced with load balancers, web server like Apache or Nginx, application server experience including integration, configuration and troubleshooting, using Tomcat or JBoss.
  • Expert-level Python and shell scripting skills
  • Familiarity with IT automation and configuration management tools, like Ansible or Helm.
  • Experience with source control and CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift experience
  • Familiarity with standard encryption methodologies and secure hosting solutions
  • Operational knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Experience managing large web-based applications in secure environments
  • Agile delivery model and CI/CD exposure

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Kafka, Redis, observability tooling
  • Open-source observability tools experience
  • Identity management protocol knowledge
  • Exposure to big data platforms
  • Capacity planning and tuning using observability tools
  • Software architecture/development experience
