Solution Architect - Wealth Management

I am seeking a talented Solution Architect to join a dynamic team.

Defining roadmaps that outline the implementation or decommissioning of key applications or technologies
Must have strong knowledge and experience of financial organisation (ideally WM) business and processes, as well as strong technical knowledge to apply to solution design
Focus on application design, produce architecture design documents and breakdown development tasks
Proposes and designs technology required to solve a given business problem, including framework, platform, tech-stack, features, modules and interactions
Ability to review and translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into technical requirements and architectural designs
Drive development quality (e.g., code review, architecture review)
Manage and maintain requests for comments (RFCs), architectural decision records (ADRs) and risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAIDs)
Must be able to explain complex problems, along with options and business impact to management and technologists
Provides a vision and technical roadmap for enterprise applications
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to adapt to different audiences accordingly
Works with multiple scrum teams to ensure technical integrity and consistency of solutions across full lifecycle of solution delivery
Provide guidance and technical leadership (including software engineering best practice) to solution architects, developers and other scrum team members

Your experience and skills

Experienced IT architect and have worked for more than 10 years within the finance sector.
Proven delivery of decentral IT solutions.
A deep knowledge and experience of different tech-stacks
Able to design software aligned to business and IT requirements, transferring business challenges into technical solutions.
Make sure technical solutions are integrated into infrastructure.
Experience of Wealth Management and Investment bank business and processes e.g. exchange traded derivatives, FIX Protocol, SWIFT messaging etc.
Ensuring end solutions are fit for purpose including Time to Market and NFR’s.
Be the architectural lighthouse on problem analysis, proof-of-concepts, MVP design, quality, and control, with a special focus on IT quality attributes.
Foster an engineering community to guide teams to successful delivery.
Partner with Stakeholders like CTO, Software Component Managers, Product Owners to ensure alignment with architectural principles and modernization.
Full front to back understanding of Trading, Trading Platforms, and associated products
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience managing senior business and IT stakeholders.
Sound knowledge of technologies such as [MS SQL Server, Oracle DB, C#, Java, ETL (Informatica), Tableau, PostgreSql]
A strong understanding of the SDLC (Software Development LifeCycle) and agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework

Contract role - Offering £700PD inside IR35 - hybrid working, with 3 days in the office!
