Technology Manager - News and Live Production 

The Video Technology Manager will design and manage video systems, including infrastructure and cloud workflows. The role will see you own and develop a 5 year technology roadmap, continually update technology, and manage and deliver technology infrastructure build outs. The role is London based, and international travel is expected. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage video infrastructure and cloud-based video workflows
  • Oversee installation and testing of new video equipment and technologies, ensuring smooth integration.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to gather requirements and deliver video projects.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and present strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Provide advanced support (level 3) for video systems and train technical and editorial staff as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven knowledge of video and audio over IP including SMPTE 2110, SDI infrastructure, and AWS cloud-based video technology.
  • Strong understanding of network principles and the ability to work with network engineering teams.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical teams.
  • Availability to travel internationally
  • Experience in Managing and/or Delivery of Live Production Technology projects
