Caspian One are proud to be partnering with one of the businesses who brings the Premier League to our screens worldwide, supporting the growth of their dedicated Broadcast Network Engineering team

We’re hiring a Head of TOC to lead our customers 24/7 Technical Operations Centre, overseeing the delivery of premium live broadcast services. This senior role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical oversight, ensuring operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across our global video and network platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of TOC Network Engineers, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Manage daily operations, ensuring 24/7 monitoring and support of live services
  • Drive service quality, proactively resolving issues and exceeding client expectations
  • Act as Tier 3 escalation for complex technical incidents and lead root cause analysis
  • Oversee incident management, reporting, and disaster recovery planning
  • Refine workflows and documentation to improve efficiency and reduce risk
  • Contribute to long-term technical strategy and implement new technologies
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners to maintain service excellence
  • Utilise monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana) and ensure effective client reporting

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • 5–7 years in a technical leadership role within a broadcast, NOC, or MCR environment
  • Strong understanding of broadcast workflows, IP networking, and live transmission
  • Proven leadership, incident management, and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Proficiency in Office 365 or G-Suite; especially Excel/Sheets
  • Flexibility to support live events outside standard hours

Desirable:

  • Experience with Net Insight MSR, OSPF/BGP, fibre technologies
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and MacOS
  • Python scripting and automation experience
  • Degree in engineering, telecommunications, or related field
